Welcome to Blickling Parish Council's web site. This site was created to allow us, the members of the council, to communicate with people living in, or visiting, our beautiful rural parish. We hope to improve the site over time to give information about the responsibilites and work of the council and to provide brief information for the many visitors who stay in and around the village.

Please see below message from the General Manager, Heather Jermy regarding a couple of projects that Blickling are working on, that you might be interested to hear about
Hello All,
I hope that this email finds you well in these very strange times. The word being used most at the moment is ‘unprecedented’ and I agree that this seems very appropriate.
As you will have seen, Blickling has been closed to visitors for some weeks, but our teams are still on site daily ensuring that essential conservation works are being done, security checks carried out, and an overview of carparks and trails maintain. We are also doing our best to respond to queries and requests from all our tenants, though we may be a bit slower than usual; please bear with us. Where our reduced staffing allows we are also liaising with groups like the Aylsham Food Bank and keeping in touch with our extensive cohort of volunteers. All our work is of course being done safely and practicing social distancing.
I wanted to get in touch firstly to say that I, and the rest of us here from the National Trust, are thinking of all of you and your families – near or far – in these uncertain times. Secondly, I wanted to share a few initiatives that have come from our team at Blickling in an effort to stay connected, to keep busy and also to have something to celebrate when we can all come together again. They are:
- The Blickling Estate Wildlife Watch
- The Blickling Scrapbook
You will find attached details of both. Anyone from the estate is invited to take part, and we are excited to come together as a community and share these opportunities. Please don’t feel any pressure to take part, it would be great to hear from as many of you as possible. There are contact details on both of the attached documents for the relevant people, and we very much look forward to hearing from anyone interested in joining in.
